Major spoilers follow.
1. Sadie King and Robert Sugden Fail to Find the Money
Sadie King and Robert Sugden have been trying to locate the £150,000 Jimmy King received after selling shares in the Home James haulage business.
Their latest search produces no cash. However, neither character is prepared to abandon the hunt.
Robert Sugden already knows that Sadie King’s supposed concern for Nicola King is not entirely genuine. The temporary partners remain united by money rather than trust.
2. The Search Moves to the Depot
Sadie King and Robert Sugden begin to suspect that Jimmy King may have hidden the money at the depot.
The theory gives them a new location to investigate, but entering the business without attracting attention will be difficult. Caleb Miligan now controls the former King family operation and is unlikely to ignore suspicious behaviour.
3. Sadie King Targets Ruby Fox-Miligan
Sadie King decides that getting close to Ruby Fox-Miligan could provide access to the depot and information about Caleb Miligan’s business.
Pretending to be interested in Ruby Fox-Miligan’s wine venture, Sadie King joins the businesswoman for a tasting session. The conversation appears friendly, but the returned character has another objective.
4. Sadie King Secretly Searches for the Cash
Once an opportunity appears, Sadie King slips away and begins searching the depot.
The plan is risky because Sadie King does not know exactly where the money is hidden or whether it was ever brought to the building. Every additional minute increases the possibility of discovery.
The search also places Sadie King in direct conflict with Caleb Miligan.
5. Caleb Miligan Catches Sadie King
The secret search ends when Caleb Miligan catches Sadie King inside the depot.
Forced to explain the intrusion, Sadie King claims that she is searching for Jimmy King’s money on behalf of Nicola King. The explanation contains enough truth to sound possible, but it hides the agreement with Robert Sugden.
Whether Caleb Miligan accepts the story remains uncertain.
6. A Drunken Confession Threatens Sadie King’s Cover
Sadie King continues drinking with Ruby Fox-Miligan after the confrontation.
As Ruby Fox-Miligan becomes intoxicated, Sadie King lets slip that she had a fling with a man named Federico in New York during Christmas 2025. The revelation could undermine the claim that Sadie King had been involved in a secret three-year relationship with Jimmy King.
Sadie King passes out before the conversation can develop further, but Ruby Fox-Miligan may remember the revealing detail.
7. Kim Tate Learns About Joe Tate’s Adoption Decision
At the hospital, Kim Tate discovers that Joe Tate has prevented other family members from visiting his baby.
Joe Tate intends to place the child for adoption following Dawn Fletcher’s death. Kim Tate is deeply upset and tries to persuade Joe Tate to reconsider, but the grieving father refuses to change direction.
The disagreement creates another serious division inside the Tate family.
8. Manpreet Sharma Examines Gabby Thomas
Gabby Thomas’s cough becomes concerning enough for Manpreet Sharma to conduct an examination.
Manpreet Sharma suspects bronchitis and prescribes antibiotics. The medical advice should be straightforward, but Gabby Thomas’s growing obsession with “clean eating” creates an unexpected problem.
Gabby Thomas has been consuming conspiracy-based health content online and begins questioning whether the prescribed medication is safe.
ITV’s official weekly preview confirms that Manpreet Sharma recognises the seriousness of Gabby Thomas’s health fixation.
9. Nicola King Breaks Down Over Jimmy King’s Messages
Nicola King continues listening to old voice messages left by Jimmy King.
The recordings provide a connection to Jimmy King, but they also make Nicola King’s grief more immediate. Nicola King eventually becomes overwhelmed and tells Laurel Thomas about the messages.
Laurel Thomas takes Nicola King home and wishes there were more she could do to ease the pain. The scenes continue the emotional aftermath of Jimmy King’s death rather than presenting grief as a storyline that can be quickly resolved.
10. Lewis Barton Ends the Relationship With Vinny Dingle
Lewis Barton decides that the relationship with Vinny Dingle cannot continue.
Vinny Dingle is left heartbroken when Lewis Barton ends their romance. The breakup follows the exposure of Vinny Dingle’s involvement in the crash that killed Jimmy King and the collapse of Lewis Barton’s marriage proposal.
Mandy Dingle attempts to support Vinny Dingle, but the breakup adds another loss to the legal consequences and guilt already affecting him.
What Is the Biggest Story Tonight?
Sadie King’s search produces the episode’s biggest potential discovery, particularly when the comment about Federico threatens to expose another lie.
The most emotional development belongs to Vinny Dingle and Lewis Barton. Their breakup changes the future of a relationship that had recently appeared to be moving towards marriage.
Nicola King’s grief provides a quieter but equally important part of the episode as she struggles with Jimmy King’s final messages.
Is Emmerdale on Tomorrow Night?
No new episode is scheduled on ITV1 for Tuesday, 29 September 2026.
ITV’s official schedule lists UEFA Nations League coverage in the evening, replacing both soaps. Emmerdale is currently scheduled to return on Wednesday, 30 September.
